Join us for our wonderful new scenic tour of the South West of Scotland to explore the area with visit to the Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel and a cruise on the historic Paddle Steamer ‘The Waverley’.

 

Day 1 We travel to our overnight hotel in Preston.

 

Day 2 We continue our journey north to the Riverside Lodge Hotel in Irvine. We settle into our rooms before dinner is served.

 

Day 3 This morning we visit The Kelpies (mythical water horses). Photos can only hint at how magnificent these 30-metre high sculptures actually are. Close by is the Falkirk Wheel, the world’s only rotating boat lift. We take a boat trip with commentary to experience this engineering marvel. In the afternoon we visit the ancient town of Stirling before returning to our hotel.

 

Day 4 Today we enjoy a cruise on the historic Paddle Steamer ‘The Waverley’ the last sea going paddle steamer still in use today. **Please note that our itinerary maybe subject to change due to departure times which are not released until 2026**

 

Day 5 We say farewell to our hosts this morning and head back south to our overnight accommodation.

 

Day 6 Homeward bound

Riverside Lodge Hotel, Irvine

Set in a cosy red brick building on a leafy property, this relaxed hotel is located on the outskirts of the town. The warmly decorated rooms come with WiFi, flat screen TVs and sitting areas, along with tea and coffee making facilities. There is no lift but plenty of ground room floors – please request on booking.
